Hello,

I am an avid gamer and currently own a PSP (2004 series) and a DELL INSPIRON 1525 laptop w/ 2 Gigs RAM and XP. I want to buy a gaming system in which I can play mighty titles like Crysis, Dead Space, FarCry 2 and other games of the same generation. However, my profession requires me to move from time to time so I am in a dilemma as to what to do with my PC if I decided to buy one. It would be a pain to move it from time to time and also rather risky. What should I do ? Laptops in India are not suitable for gaming as such and I can't afford to pay 1 million INR to purchase the XPS 1750. Right now, I have to be content with titles released 6-7 years back on my Inspiron with its X3100 accelerator. Are consoles an option ? But then, I can't expect Crysis even on the PS3 and I also need to procure a good LCD for that which will support PS3/ Xbox. Am I really out of options here ? Do I have to satisfy myself with decade old titles and PSP releases ? No chance of doing serious gaming ? :( Is there any point in going for XPS 1530 ?

I was going to suggest consoles but even if you get one and a good LCD screen wont you have to keep moving that too?... I guess you are all out of options unless you want to carry a heavy machine around.

Crysis is coming out on the PS3. I say get a PS3 + LCD. This combo would be totally worth it IMO. You can lug around the PS3, not that big a deal. There is a PS3 carrybag available in the market if you fancy that.

And don't get 1530 thinking it would run Crysis or FC2, because you would be able to count the frames per second on your fingers. These games are resource hogs, I wouldn't try running them on anything less than 1730. Since that costs a bomb, I would rather have a console or a high end PC.

Well der may be an option...... U could either buy a croma/zenith laptop with 9600MGS fo 40-43 grand.... i recently got one and it can hande GTAIV at 1024 x 768 res pretty decently.... or for 69 grand you can have an MSI GT627 from US via KMD.. Oh BTW its got a 9800GS and can take anything you could throw at it as it also is a 15 incher......... Hope dat helps.......
