portable connection under 500/- PM

My friend is in need of a portable Internet connection which costs not exceeding 500/- per month. Need to use it with laptop.

Another option is to use a cable internet (there is a good plan with 4GB per month usage and 4Mbps speed) which is bout 475/- PM and a basic mobile internet package like Airtel Mobile office for <100/-PM for outstations days (only around 5~6 days a month).

Please suggest guys.
 
under that price u wont get speed in portable connection. so better for above u have mentioned abt cable interent

how the mobile internet packages from airtel, docomo and idea?

there are many for like 98/- per month and like that?

so i think that cable internet for 475/- plus one mobile internet package will do the job. which is better of the lot in speed? Even 2GB per month will do fine.

i have had pretty good experience with vodaphone. speeds though will vary and they are really not much for more than simple mail checking and stuff.
 
Vodaphone edge USB will do the job nicely.i use a 300 bucks unlimited plan.i don't know if it is available now,find out.It gets the job done,use chrome with flashblock and adblock and the surfing speed is very good.opera with turbo is also very good.landline connection with 4 gb limit is not much better than this usb connection.you will use up 4 gb in 10 days if you don't do any serious downloading.Get a vodaphone usb stick.service is also good and two years replacement warranty and also free roaming.very portable and very useful.
 
Airtel have a 474 rupees unlimited plan for 9 months.. It will only cost him 53 rs PM additional to the 475 cable internet(4Mbps)..
