I want to buy a 500GB Portable HDD (company cased)... I want the best deal and preferable companies are seagate and WD....

Tell me the best prices, especially nehru place prices...with complete info regarding warranty....

I am getting it for 2700 from ebay FS....3yr warranty...

WD is having some issues with RMA if the drive goes bad...

Look at Seagate or Buffalo instead.

I didn't notice that u were a new member earlier... :P

I don't think so.... But this keeps happening all the time.

Even Seagate got the Freeagent GoFlex in place of the Freeagent Go.

All WD Passport drives come with glossy surface which is a fingerprint and micro scratch magnet!! I hate them for that one reason. :@

The Seagate FreeAgent Go was not glossy so I bought it. But now Seagate too has brought a glossy fingerprint magnet in the form of the Go Flex!!
 
I've got a *new* sealed iOmega 320 gb (I think it's called Prestige?) that came as an unwanted gift.
