Blu-Ray Burner, HD-DVD ROM drive. 8900 at Croma. Good price.
2X BD-R discs, 25GB for 200.

thats an amazing deal. i thought the bluray burners were still very expensive.

if i rent bluray movies & burn them. will they work on the ps3? any idea?

Forget that. its a steal deal.

BD discs for 100 a piece is too good man.

I remember verba DL's still being 295 for 3 shipped.

This BD is like those 3 DL's combined.

Its an amazing deal.

Hope BD burners fall to Sub 5K soon and discs price dont go up :)

yeah they will work provided you know how to back them up and remove the region protection. there are many softwares that will do this job. how do u think blu-ray rips release on the net :bleh:

Will go and check croma, bored burning almost 2 DVD's everyday. This will be a nice breather for me at 8.9K :ohyeah: .
By the way I went to lammy today bought a 50DVD+R Verbatim pack. The pack was of new model not the pearl white one but with a really thin moser bayer kind of layer ?? it looked bad + cheap to me. hope the quality remains the same

^Best part is, it can burn discs up to 6X. Damn good deal, damn tempting.

Will wait till December and pick one up. Trying to get a good deal from BKK.

GOD thats a NICE deal.....

will wait upto JAN..... oooh things are getting cluttered in MY HDD's..better than buying new 2 TB hehehh

Awesome drop. This must be the fastest drop ever. Must wait till next year when probably the price drop is more in place along with more availability of the Blu-Ray media.

Then the quality would become shit. I remember buying my LG 32x CD/RW for 5.7K in 2001. Still going strong; burnt 3356 CDs. Nowadays CDRW's rarely last that long.

Same thing; my Sont DRU 720A bought for 5.5K in 2003-2004. Burnt some 1100 DVDs; no issues; reads all discs. Have bought 3 writers for 1100 to 1800 after that; chucked them all :P

I understand what you are trying to say and I completely agree that older things are of better make.

Even I had got my First DVD Writer Back in 2004 It was Benq DW1600 something.

It lasted for 2 year or so but It had burnt much.

But, I had got it for 5k and Now look at the value 1200 - 1500

Man Even if each of them go kaput in 6 months its still a better deal considering I can get 3 of them for a span of 18 months and still save 500 bucks.

Besides, now DVD is the mainsteam in the market.

Anything and everything is burnt on dvd's ( Well mostly )

Soon time will come for BD and at that time, falling to sub 5k wont mean shitty quality, just that BD would be main line then.

what brand blu ray discs are those ? we would not want a 200 rs coaster

sONY. Basically all are Matsushita and Verbatim and Sony right now, even Ridata and Memorex, which are normally crap DVDR discs. It's like the initial days of DVDRs, with the RicohJPNR01 and YudenT001 codes..
