Possible identity theft in international courier

A relative of mine just got a call today from Fedex telling them that an outgoing courier has been caught in customs with some unauthorized items. Fedex said they have my relatives name, phone number, and Aadhaar number in the sender's details.

However, this person has never sent such a courier. Someone else has registered an outgoing courier in their name.

Has anyone else faced such a situation? Any suggestions as to how to handle this?
 
Thanks a lot. That's a big relief. I have asked my relative to not answer the call after this or share any personal information.
