Possible price error on Xperia X10

Hi

Today I Mom gifted Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 to my dad :clap: while i was in office when i came back I was shocked to see to see the shop owner charged 22K cash for this phone :@. Mom initially asked for N8 and shopkeeper said "I am giving better phone then N8" :@
My Mom had bought this phone on 22/04/11 and disclosed it today when she gifted the phone. The seal of the phone had been opened by dad while i was in office.
Now, What r the possibilities of exchanging the phone :S nd which other phone we should go for ( if i can gt it exchanged )?

@ 22k for an outdated chipset(it has an ancient adreno 200, for heaven's sake even a Micromax Andro has the same gpu) is like stealing the customer. The shopkeeper has tricked you. THe phone ain't better than N8(nor in camera or gpu raw power or design)
EDIT:

Point is, shopkeeper has tricked your mom. Don't let this off lightly.

the shopkeeper isn't supposed to make false claims about a product, and hence try to sell a very very old product (X10) which probably has stopped shipping too in light of the new SE phones.

Agreed...But you cant call it cheating..its unethical but not illegal...plus what is a better phone is subjective. The shopkeeper will say the hanset color is better. That is what is deciding factor for many a ppl....just how the phone looks...crazy.
 
I don't think there is a single honest shopkeeper who would not try to cheat an unsuspecting customer. If you mom wanted N8, she should've bought the N8 instead of listening to the shopkeeper.

Ahem well I agree that shopkeeper is to blame here. As for the x10 using ancient a200, well even htc desire and dell streak use the same gpu subset. And the fact that micromax a60 uses it, doesn't make it too bad. Outdated maybe, but not too shabby. But other specs of the phone are good enough including a camera that eats every htc except the very latest ones for lunch..
 
He was probably looking for a bakra to get rid of his old stock and your mom unfortunately fell for it.
 
Well considering my sister bought one last week for 13k with a 8 GB memory card along with it, I would say it's a bad deal. :(

My apologies- It turns out it was a X 10 mini pro. :S

I wasn't aiming to be rude, I was just stating the "ugly truth" with some of these shopkeepers.
