Storage Solutions Possible to use SSD alongwith two other HDDs?

I have two internal HDDs: a 1TB and another 2TB.
First HDD contains Win7 on C: as a primary OS and Win10 on D:.
Second HDD is used for games, movies, music and stuff.
I would like to add an additional SDD and transfer both OS's onto it. Is it possible to connect it while keeping both HDDs?

Also, is Zotac SDD any good? 240 GB is available for as cheap as Rs 3200 @primeabgb as a bundle with Gtx 1060.

Please advice.
 
i am using an SSD in my HTPC, that has the OS loaded in it. apart from this, also have 2 HDDs for storage-purpose.
regarding 'transferring' the OS onto the SSD, perhaps you could 'mirror' it in your SSD. tagging @vivek.krishnan for suggestions here.
 
I guess mirroring the OS will not shift the bootloader making the OS bootup in the same pace as u currently have it. The right way is to fresh install OS on the SSD. Correct me if I am wrong, guys.
 
i too would recommend a fresh install of the os.
having the os on both drives shouldn't be a problem though - you'll just get the 'select os' screen on boot.
 
If you buy a Samsung SSD, use the software to clone the OS into the SSD. Else, use an ahem copy of Acronis.

However, I too would recommend a fresh install.

I got an Intel ssd 160gb from ebay. mirrored my OS using Ease US. and damn this thing boots up like lightning.
I don thing mirroring would make the OS slower

Since some would recommend cloning and others fresh install, this is why you should do a fresh install - Windows/Programs will not have an dependencies when you do a fresh install, and you can then optimize the SSD for use with the OS. But if you do this half way, then there can be an issue. I am speaking from an IT perspective where downtime is costly. But if you have XYZ programs and games installed which you do not want to reinstall, please go ahead and clone.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

Ideally I would like to go for a fresh install on SSD, it makes perfect sense. But there are a couple of problems, least of which is the fact that it will be utterly time-consuming to install both OSs, all the necessary programs on both and update Steam with game installation folders. However, my main concern is that I have upgraded Win10 from a genuine Win8 key..and now that Win10 free upgrade program has ended..I am unsure if the activation of Win10 will go smoothly. I am not saying it cannot be done, but mostly it will involve pinging MS call centre reps. So more headache..!!

Comparatively, cloning of the OS seems easy and fast. And once that's done, I can simply format the C and D partitions on the old HDD, so there won't be a conflict of boot loader. But even without that, I think the boot loader will be read from the first disk that's configured in the BIOS. Isn't this correct?

Interestingly, no one seems to have an opinion on the quality of Zotac SSD! I don't know if that speaks for itself..hmm.

Windows 10 Activation is tied to motherboard, like OEM. So no issues.

I would still prefer Samsung and Intel SSDs any day.

i don't think anyone has used one yet :D
but no, i haven't come across any bad reviews of zotac ssds.
if it's part of a 1060 bundle then it might be a good deal.
plus zotac cards have the longest warranty available in India. the ssd may have a similarly good warranty.
