Hey guys,
I just installed Linux Mint ( In fact any Linux for the first time). It is pretty straightforward in its working.
I was unsure about the filesystem so by trial and error I chose 'ext3' and mount point as '/'. Paritition size was 21 GB so I kept 17GB as boot partition and 3GB as swap (Was unsure about min requirement in both - Do correct me if these steps can be managed in a better way)
Haven't had to install any Drivers/Softwares/Codecs as of now. Windows partition was automatically mounted. It detected Wifi too. I am even running through Mint Update as I type.
So my questions is, What next ? Are there any tweaks/additions that I need to do or take care of as I have no experience with Linux. Will anything bother me in my normal usage. Also I didn't like the inbuilt video player.
1) What are the best replacements for common Windows Softwares (Players/Download Managers) ?
2) How do I take the best out of the Linux Mint ?

Thanks..
