Post optimun settings For torrents

I have been searching for guides with optimal settings what there aren't any for my ISP(BSNL), i am sure there are lot of BSNL users there so please help post your settings. as a matter of fact i never get full speeds which my connection is capable off. always get slower.

Follow this format

ISP & Plan:

Max speeds Possible(up/dl):

Torrent client used:

Port number(TCP/UDP):

HTTP seeding enabled(Yes/No;if yes then provide details):

Encryption Enabled(yes,no):

Max speeds Client(up/dl):

Max Global Connections:

Max connections per torrent:

By this thread i aim to make a directory of settings which gives high speeds every ISP .

So let me start

ISP & Plan: BSNL Home 500

Max speeds Possible theoretical(UP/DL):512kbps/2048kbps

Torrent client used:Azureus 2.5.0.4(linux)

Port number(TCP/UDP):53333/53333

HTTP seeding enabled(Yes/No;if yes then provide details):No

Encryption Enabled(yes,no):No

Max speeds gettings in torrents(UP/DL):55kbps/1250kbps:(

Max Global Connections:150

Max connections per torrent:40

Upload slots:2

Any comments & other details you would like to add:Capped upspeed in azureus at 55kbps and download speeds is Unlimited:)

Actual Speed you are getting(test & post screenshots)

That is what's holding you back.

Increase the global connections to 300 and connections per torrent to 200.
Experiment with higher values if you notice it's faster but dont set it too high or you'll just be choking your pipe with unnecessary peers.

And don't max out your upload speed limit to whatever the max is for your ISP plan, set it to around 60% of the maximum.
I am also on BSNL H500 and lowering the upload speeds helps improve my download speeds (the data transfer graph becomes totally flat).

Also it goes without saying, but don't download from more than one torrent at the same time unless they are all on private trackers.

Ok thanks for suggestions. i try them., why don't post your settings here, may be usefull to many, but please post using the format mentioned:)
 
if you are using µtorrent, press Crtl + G and select your upload speed. It should most definitely max out your speeds. Works fine for me. Thats the most common suggestion you will find in the official utorrent forums as well.
