Trying a few native Linux games in my Steam library. Pretty cool to have steamapps shared across 2 OS without any major issues. Only thing is that it requires a small update when you switch OS which takes less than a second. Probably some configuration change which Steam auto manages.

How is the game, I want to give it a try and shoot something instead of axe or blades of kratos

After the recent patches it's running stable and no quest breaking bugs so far from what I have played. It looks great as well. If you are playing on the PC then use a Mouse and KB for better controls and easier aiming + shooting. I'm playing with a Xbox One controller on PC and even though the stick drift issues have been addressed by the recent patches the game definitely needs a quick lock system in combat when using a controller. Be prepared to die quite a lot in the game in some of the levels as there are some lethally fast mutant enemies to deal with. Gameplay is Stalker-like and if you have played the previous games from back in the day then you'll be right there in that cold, harsh and terribly vicious terrain putting in every bit of your hard work towards completing quests and surviving. It has a robust inventory management system in place as well so you'll need to keep your stuff well arranged and pick & choose what you want to carry or dispose off depending on your play-style. After the newer patches the weight management in your inventory is also easier. Upgrading weapons cost has always been decreased but you will still just snag weapons from fallen enemies or secret stashes strewn around the map opposed to buying new arsenal.

I for one had not played the previous games so I read up on the lore before venturing into this one. It definitely took me a while to get into the story and lore. Also, the story at first can seem confusing but as the game progresses things become understandable. You will slowly come to terms with the characters and the noir world this game portrays.

Once again, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is a game that dishes out a stiff difficulty level and at times might be frustrating. Last night I had to clear a wet swamp area in a n area and the rabid mutant dogs were unforgiving with their attacks. I died multiple times but in the end managed to beat the odds. Have patience, stick to the story and the world and it's atmosphere will soon engulf you in it's web.

P.S. Definitely update this game to at least patch v1.0.2. That makes the game stable, addresses all quest breaking bugs and also solves the issue of stick drift when using controllers with PC.

Back in the day I played the first game and didn't like much because it was too difficult for me since I was a COD player and would go all gun blazing instead of strategy but now will give it a shot but first I need to complete God of War DLC
