RAID0 :O

Damn you :@

PS - are those ATTO scores on RAID?
The third AS-SSD score is on RAID0. Had my friend's 120GB, just tried out how fast it goes :P

120GB SF1200 in Raid heh ? :@

Btw, I'm really having it sweet now. OS+apps on SSD, games on a VelociRaptor 74Gb and data on a Seagate 7200.11 500GB RAID 1 :). Just need to upgrade the RAID 1 to Seagate 7200.12s. Tested a .12 1tb RAID1 and it was a whole lotta faster than the .11 RAID. Too bad one of the 1TBs was not mine :P! Mani, mani, where are thou... :P

^^

How noisy are the raptors in raid?

I'm contemplating putting a 300Gb one as L2 in between my SSD and my External.I'm just afraid it'll disrupt the serenity of the whole rig.

The Velos are not at all noisy compared to the earlier Raptors. I don't think investing in a Velo is recommended though, not with the superb performances the .12s and Blacks are giving. The only reason I have one is cos I got it as a replacement for a 1st gen Raptor RMA. If it dies, it's either another SSD or a .12 RAID 0.

Not sure what to use on Linux :) Couldn't get IOmeter to work - webpage says it "probably" works on 64bit Linux. I hope "hdparm" command is good enough.

This is a Intel DP35DP mobo (P35 chipset with ICH9 I think) and Crucial M225 128 GB SSD with the IndiLinx BareFoot controller running latest firmware 1916 which has TRIM and more importantly GC (garbage collect) for Linux OS which doesn't quite support TRIM yet.

Ignore the "cached" number of course, it's the buffered read speed. Writes as I recall when I had tested on Win7 were approaching 190 mbps...

PS: Do these Callisto drives do GC in firmware? Mushkin's reads/writes are sweet!

This SSD and its controller are over half a year old now though! :P

here is mine callisto deluxe 120gb

are these any good numbers or bad?

X-25 80GB G1.
No TRIM. 1 year old Win7 install.
Only worrying factor is the low 2kB write speed.

saar.. stop pasting stuff into paint and cropping :p
use rectangular snip in the snipping tool :)

et tu.

Was posting on UbuntuForums and just realised Ubuntu comes with the "palimpsest" disk util which has a bench... ran just the read bench, since write bench might be bad for an SSD...
