Power Efficient Download Rig+(Media Player)

Hi,

i am in need of a bedroom pc/download rig that will primarily be used for 1) surfing 2) play HD content 1080i,p, mkv 3) Video transcoding

& should meet the following criteria :

1) Mini-itx

2) Should be power efficient. (double digit power consumption with monitor off.)

3) should be an elegant solution, no DIY stuff preferably :p

4) Should be 10-12k ( i need CPU,Mobo,1 Gb RAM,DVD-RW,Case+PSU)

I have looked at :

- Plane jane Atom ( not cool perfrmnc wise) +/- Broadcomm HD Card
- Zotac Ion ( Not VFM at all)

- Zotac 630i + e5300/5400
- Core i3 530 + Intel DH57JG

Which one of these would best suit my purpose..? i am leaning towards the last 2 options..But would like to know if there's anything better out there..?

Also, most importantly , please do suggest if there is a good ITX case+PSU out there?
I have only come across the iBall nettop iBall (1.3k) which seems remotely VFM

Please be as specific as you can for all the above , with model numbers & approx prices..!!

Thanks a lot guys !!:D

Does the i3 fit the bill? With the case, psu and RAM under 12k?

If so, I'd suggest you go for the i3, they're extremely power efficient. I'd rather suggest not to go in for the Intel mobo and see some other brands.
