Linux pppoeconf help

I've taken the Youtelecom 2mbps package with a 2.5 gb download limit. I used pppoeconf to set up my connection but the net hasn't been working. There were some problems with my old unlimited connection because of rains and when i click the dialer in Windows i get the error message no. 733 sometimes. Is there a similar gui for ubuntu so i know that it's a problem with the connection or is there any command i need to type in?
 
which modem are you using? did you get it with the connection? if not then you have to make some minute changes.. try making VPI -1 and VCI -32.
 
I'm using the one they've given me. It's a Motorola modem (if that's any help)

also where do i make those changes? run pppoeconf again?
 
k guys using a similar modem will be in a better position to help you. in ur browser type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 . not sure whats the default for you. there look for internet interface or something like that. it'l be there along with the pppoe.
