PREBOOK UR IPHONE

WELL....allready registered. saw the ad on times of india 4 o clock in the morning :p. More curious on the the price then being keen on buying it. I dont see anything great on cellphones other then the wi-fi factor. I am not sure if iphone has a2dp profile but will do research if the price is reasonable and if the stuff is good enough.

i have also registered.

i got the confirmation mail.

they will call back with updates regarding prices, offers and other information later.

what's wrong in registering , i am sure anyone can backout later on and most will after they let you know the price :P

No obligations for sure with registering.

But i think they are using this register bit to guage demand and then set the price ;)

^^ Ohhh In that case sad for Us Coz i booked from two of my numbers. Just in case there is a black on Iphone thn I am entitled to two phones

if your sources are correct and if there is no enforced plans [just like in the case of airtel where it is just a 2 year simlock, no plan lock], 10k price point would pretty much mean a real tough time for mid-range/high-end mobile markets

no plan lock on airtel ? Your source please ?

Its not possible that Airtel or vodafone will realease the phone for around 10k's without any plan lock! Reason is simple..The phones are subsidized by operators. The actual cost of the phone in US is 199 + 200 odd (subsidized by operators)! Which means even in best case, an iphone costs airtel/vodafone upwards of 18k! So if they *indeed* sell it for 10k, the plans would be like 1.5k per month minimum for 2 years!

Something tells me that they now its not feasible to charge an Indian 1.5k per month, that just wont work! So I would believe it would be priced atleast at 20k.. with or without lock is anybodys guess!

may be offtopic: but spreading of iphone and its popularity will stop the 3rd party s/w(Embedded) developers dream.'coz of jobes will lock their platform at any moment. :|
