There has been Quite a Drop in Prices of many cards! Shipping Not Included!

MSI 7850 1GB Sapphire AMD HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 1 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card | Graphics Card | Flipkart.com 13.9K

Gigabyte 7850 2GB GIGABYTE GV-R785OC-2GD 13.4K this card seems a Problematic according to Newegg feedbacks

Gigabyte 660 GIGABYTE GV-N660OC-2GD 14.2K

Gigabyte 660ti http://www.smcinternational.in/inde...category_id=9&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=90 19.6K

Gigabyte 670 Windforce 2 GIGABYTE GV-N670WF2-2GD 25.7K

Others include Sapphire 7870 as we all know has settled at 19K(flipkart) and MSI 7970 is around 28.5K ( SMC) So essentially it takes some 3-4 Months for price-Cuts to be Effective huh ? or its seems quite a Move only from gigabyte as I figured out Most were Windforce2 Cards and One among them being a Sapphire creates some Confusion! :23:

Update 12/10/2012:-

Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X SAPPHIRE GRAPHIC CARD HD 7950 VAPOR-X OC WITH BOOST 23.8K something is Wrong! prices changing 2K Over Night :P

Thanks for the info ,
hope other manufacturers also come into line or who ll care , sapphire is selling cards at a much lower rate .

All I know he cheated me by selling a a physically damaged card.
I was fool.
I did not check the card before buying and trust those b@asters blindly.

Gigabyte 7850 just became the most VFM card, the price is amazing, I got it for 16k, And I have no issues with it. Maybe it was some issue with the american batch.

Oh seems Legit enough! so they replaced with a Working one?

Which one is better AMD HD 7850 or NVIDIA 660 ?

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/549?vs=660 Considering these 660 beats the 7850 with a Minimal Difference in performance, but i expect the scene to change when you start overclocking!

Considering the 7850 2GB sells for around $170 typically, the price should have been close to 10k here. :|

All the Cards are 210$-220$! None of the cards mentioned in the Discussion are less then 200$ so price is Quite Justified! and 7850 1Gb sells at that price!

The prices should come down further.Check this AMD Radeon graphics cards get another price cut

AnandTech - Radeon HD 7850 Prices Fall Again Again Rebate is Completely Different thing! So Price before rebate's should be Price you use for Comparison :)

Update 10/07: AMD sent us a clarification this morning stating that they were not the ones responsible for the recent reduction in 7850 prices, bur rather that it was a result of the "natural economics that are governing the channel, promotions and agressive pricing that the ecosystem is driving on its own". While we typically take what AMD says at face value, it's hard to imagine partners are able to undercut AMD's MSRP by $20+ on a sub-$200 part if AMD has not changed the prices they're charging their partners.

between these two 660 GPU's which is better & why such a huge price difference ?

GigaByte GV-N660 OC-2GD .......... Rs 14499/- @ prime | Rs 14200/- at smc
Asus GTX660-DC2-2GD5 .................. Rs 18399/- @ prime a few days ago (not in stock today)

price diff of almost 4K !!

The Giga is an OC version .... Is the cooling capabilities & build quality of Asus far superior to Giga ?

The GIGABYTE card is a good performer albeit on the noisier end of the spectrum --
Gigabyte GTX 660 Windforce OC 2 GB Review | techPowerUp / Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Review - TechSpot Reviews.

The ASUS card I doubt is worth its price-tag but with the Direct Copper II heat-sink fan layout I expect it to be a much more quieter device but still not worth the extra monies.

Both companies are renowned for there superb build quality so you shouldn't have any troubles there. Cheerio!

Wow, that is very good pricing on the Gigabyte card! I got the Asus one for 18K for my new build from Prime because I didn't know about the Gigabyte one. Would have saved 3.5-4K had I got the Gigabyte one:(. I only saw the Zotac and Asus cards when I got mine on Saturday and the difference between them was ~1K.

As I am targeting Diwali for my GPU purchase ..... just maybe, the prices will fall further & by then if the Ti version is within my reach then :bigok:

...... Which also may mean that prime would next list the Asus at a much lower price point
