Price of the ipod 120GB and the new itouch 16GB?

Guys,

Need to know the prices of the same.

The Croma, Surat had the 120GB ipod for 15K!!! :O

My friend and me were like WTF!! :S

And they'd no 16GB itouch either!! "Saar, new ishtock abi aaya nahee!!!" :|

The 32GB itouch was for 25k.

Any idea about the prices of the same??

Sadly there're no imagine showrooms here, the nearest being in Ahmedabad. :(

BTW has anyone bought stuff via the Apple store online??? :)
 
Official Apple India MRPs including taxes:

120Gb Classic: 14.3k

Touch 16Gb: 17.7k

You want cheaper stuff. You know where to find me and I will see what I can do :P
 
i need the latest price of the 120gb (grey mkt). my dealer left the country n i think his sidekick overcharges.
 
lol.. i thought his quote a little under 12 was high.. then again, its grey mkt. but that doesnt matter in this case.

Seems like techie's ipods should be reaching me anytime. Can existing itouch users suggest me some free good apps to be run and the source?? :)

BTW will these run .avi files?? I mean like the TV series we download. :huh:

I hardly get time to see TG these days; I could copy them into the touch and watch it on the move.

Or are there any converters which could convert them into appropriate formats??

Use itunes. Simplest app so long as you dont mind the overhead etc. It ll manage everything. I guess it converts to required format too :)
 
Best software to convert I have found out is actually Jet audio. I got it with my Cowon D2 and its brilliant. It has builtin settings for Ipod touch so it converts to the right resolution. Lets you define the Bitrate etc so you can balance quality with size.

Its fantastic.

So Gannu's gonna be roxing (with his new iPod) again huh? :P

Jokes apart, use the WinAvi mp4 video converter. It's damn good. Using it for around 2 months now and no problems whatsoever.

Once you install the s/w just select the Avi->mp4 option go into advanced, select the o/p resolution to 480X320( default for the touch ) and rest everything else be as it is. Don't forget to deselect the option which converts all the files into a single file. You should be fine.

Converted all my FRIENDS/WHOSE LINE/DEXTER/LAUGHTER CHALLENGE/VIDS etc this way and they run great full screen with almost no loss in quality.

PS: If you are the lucky owner of a credit card ( which you need to setup an account and install apps ) you should also check out some video podcasts. All free and some really good content. Subscribe and they get downloaded free of cost every day/week (depending on the podcast).

Any more queries regarding good apps, podcasts etc pm me. :)

yay, more ipod touch owners!

i should try winavi too... i've been using videora with a setting of "h.264 480x320 768kbps - stereo 128kbps" there a little apparent loss in quality here, hence will try winavi
