500GB WD BLUE - 2300 + VAT
COOLER MASTER ELITE 310-1460 + VAT (without transparent side panel)
CORSAIR VX450 - 3550 + VAT
LG 22X DVD-RW - 1050 + VAT

vat is now 5%:(
Not sure if these are best prices because I dint bargain too long.Tried getting the gpu for cheaper but he wouldn't budge.
Good service from Ankit.They also assembled the PC for free.Hard disk was DOA got it exchanged the very next day without any problems.Will purchase from there again and I recommend the shop to everyone.

Finally, this things price is coming down. I had bought it for 3.8K almost 1yr back and then it climbed back to 4K and stayed there for long time.

I guess, now demand is probably coming down as people are getting alternatives.

That looks like a decent configuration. I'm in the process of upgrade myself, so if possible can you post some results on how your system performs w.r.t gaming/3D applications (if you have any) ?

Please suggest a good mobo for AMD's Phenom X6 Proccy.

One more query wats ur opinion about platforms - which one is better - Intel Platform or AMD Platform. I am asking this coz, I have never tried AMD.

I've had problems with internet so I'm finding it hard to stay active on the forum.Unlocking the phenom 2 just too easy it gave a significant boost in most of the games.

I usually game at low resolutions because I dont have a proper widescreen monitor.Except Crysis/Crysis Warhead it can handle all games at 1920x1080 maxed out.Crysis is the only game which brings my rig down to its knees.I played crysis at 1280x1024 with 2xAA.Crysis Warhead peforms a lot better than crysis and looks a lot better too.

All other games Dirt2,CODMW2,Battlefield Bad Company2,BatmanAA work exceptionally smooth.I think they will smoothly at any res.The system is silent,power efficient and runs cool.

I'm sorry I haven't put up any benchmarks,my dorm is in some desolate location with no internet access.

When my vacations start I intend to overclock my system and unlock its full potential.If your still interested I will put up proper benchmarking scores then.

I am not aware of the prevailing market prices but is that a good deal since i need to buy one. Is there a scope for some more bargain?
 
Try Jainex computers, it was 10.5+ vat there. HE might even give you a better rate. You could mention that you are friends the people who picked up the systems with philips LCD and dell notebook.
 
^^ It comes in spindles of 50 rite ? So each 50 spindle box DVD+R Verb is Rs 525.

As for the Benq 2420 dont pay more than 11k all incl :p...in fact I got it for that price in Aug 2009

Also I tried ITdepot chennai, they were selling it for 2105 but after placing order when I went for checkout, it is not giving me any shipping options:mad: time waste (had mailed to their sales guy but no response still)

I went to dinesh and he quoted 10800 for G2420HD which comes to 11.3 with tax:(
