Market Feedback Prime ABGB Charged me For No Reason! Very Disspointed!

Really not acceptable, the behavior of PrimeABGB.

1. They should have mentioned the RS 300. caveat before taking the cabinet from you. All centers do this, even if LG sends an engineer for repair they mention it before hand. It is basically know as transparency.

2. They should not have been rude and condescending. Good manners and civility with others (be it customers or common man on the streets) is a basic humane trait. They were not doing a favor for the OP. RMA is part of the bundle.

3. How can they threaten that they will not return the board, if RS 100 is held back.

Get your board in 15 days, and avoid them.

In AMC we dont have to bother taking the cabby to them, instead they come to our place for service... And its followed by almost all shops at lammy. :) They can charge you upto Rs.3K for this service for 1 year. Just posted this to keep you informed about what AMC is :) Next time you have problem, proceed with caution making your side safe, coz even I dont believe or trust that person(name withheld on request) ;).. He needs to be bashed badly in the store itself...

Well, I dealt with someone called Preeti at the technical dept. And btw they threatened to withhold my entire PC, not board :X

I had also been similarly charged Rs 350/- (I still have that invoice) :@ for a self assembled PC installed with not even 24hrs old PC components which were bought from Primeabgb only which in my case was stated before the due process that to on being enquired. I had bought PC components worth 40k from them at the time of sale even that didn't deter them from asking me to pay for the 'Repairs' as they have stated in their invoice. This happened a few months back.

I assembled the PC the same day but the PC would not boot into the OS(pre-installed from old PC) and restarted so I took the whole cabinet to them cause I was not sure what was not working  , sometimes it used to give proper RAM beeps and show the windows loading screen and then abruptly used to restart but the next time only CPU fan spun but nothing happened next. This went in a cyclic fashion.

On being asked why should I pay Mr. GB told me, 'They will assemble the PC in such a way that you yourself would feel to give the money to me' to which my response there and then was  (maybe he was pointing to the quality of cable management)

I had some out station relatives at my place whom I had to attend to, so I gave them the money and told them to do it ASAP cause I was short on time. On checking by Primeabgb the brand new PSU had gone kaput which they replaced to my relief on account of how horrendous that day had been for me.

Prior to buying I had read on many forums that Primeabgb had a commendable record for after sales service, which unfortunately I thought had turned tables during my time which left me sad and disappointed. My thought on it was that it might be an isolated incident. BUT :(

My intention of this post is simply that this is happening repeatedly which is not true to the record of Primeabgb, so I would request them to please mend their ways or they might start losing good customers as well as market value after they get highlighted on the wrong side on the internet. So please help yourself and us by serving better. :)

Well, I spoke to prime rep today regarding this issue and the effects that are going to be seen on Primes sales coz of this issue. They had a discussion on this and I guess after that they called the OP and have agreed to refund his Rs.200/-(@OP please confirm)... But next time onwards everyone of us should keep in mind that we should enquire each and every thing before giving anything for replacement or repair.

What the?,the only reason Prime abgb was better from the other shops, was because of the fact that if you want to claim warranty ,you could go there instead of roaming in unknown places to find the warranty center ,and now they don't have that also, well bye ,bye primeabgb .

Dear Windhawk91,

Sincere apologise for my team not informing you before you gave the MACHINE, assuming that you would be aware of the same. It is our mistake. Feedback taken. Will ensure it will not be repeated.

If you need any assitance in RMA (which you would be aware is with service centres and principal companies directly) , get the PRODUCT to us and we will support you in getting your rma done. This will work faster and as you would be aware RMA assistance is FREE from PRIME anyways.

Most of you would not be aware what ABGB stands for - ALWAYS BELIEVE in GETTING BETTER. Suggestions and feedbacks are always welcome.

Gulbir Bhatia.

Was waiting for the Boss to speak sometime and he does it now ;)..

Kindly let us know whether you are really paying Op rs.200/- plz confirm

Thank you for the reply Mr. Bhatia. I didn't think you were involved with the forums. Your technical staff already has my motherboard with them for RMA. Your post has definitely alleviated the situation for me. Will definitely consider buying from you again since I do like your stores and even more, your prices. This was never about the money for me but just the courtesy and business ethics that everyone should follow.

Actually Gulbir said it said ABGB is nicknamed for Amir baap Gareeb beta as a joke in some interview- or something like that.

They should have informed before touching the system and the amount. Also a clarity needs to be mentioned if they will be able to fix the issue and they will make sure other components are not damaged during the process. As far as sales and online purchase/RMA assistance goes, I haven't had any issues, but once Xterminator had to wait for a very long time to get replacements for his memory kits long time ago, when Prime had a separate store for RMA before.

It kinda leaves a wrong impression when Prime said "This will work faster and as you would be aware RMA assistance is FREE from PRIME anyways.".

Here's the thing, warranty period is given by the company and people are paying for the product by purchasing via stores- like Prime ABGB. Prime is simply forwarding for RMA through their RMA channels. Using the word "free" is wrong. People paid for it, it is anything BUT free. If they charge, its only either because its damaged by the user (and if the RMA guys ain't gonna let it slide) or if they are willing to give other product in exchange but its of higher value. Prime ABGB and other dealers, do correct me if I am wrong- but IMHO associating the word "RMA" with "Free" is just not right. In any which case, I don't like companies slowly and silently removing warranty period appearing on the packaging (only few distris label warranty period on import sticker under God-knows-What circumstances) and I don't like "lifetime warranty" because in a country like ours, any numbnut in any company has the power to say its EOL in India. Last thing people want to hear from anyone, especially a TE dealer of a good and long standing repute, to say that they give RMA assistance for free.

Just my 2 cents.

Reminds me of my Soundmagic PL-11's I had RMA'ed thru PrimeABGB way back in April/May earlier this year...

I made several follow-ups almost every month... the everytime the RMA dept. assured me that they would contact me when they receive it...

Today, its been almost more than 6 months... not heard anything from the RMA dept. and I can't even go demanding my earphones since I have lost the RMA receipt :P

Anyways... I'm glad it wasn't any expensive item :hap2:

While we're talking about Prime ABGB's incident "simple misunderstanding", they should look at 1 right now and correct it ASAP.

They're featuring Avatar S mouse in their site, but have mentioned the features of Avatar mouse from NZXT . Features/Specifications for Avatar and Avatar S are different. Are you selling avatar- or avatar S?
