Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones (PC review)

Hi guys I am writing my first review and would like to start up with my favorite game Ubisoft's Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones. This game brings the Sands of Time Trilogy to an end.

Introduction:

Let me brief the story of the Prince Of Persia. It all began when Prince’s Army attacked and conquered the capital of Indian empire and in the middle the evil vizier released the Sands of time, awaking the evil destruction in the city and the country side. Now the Prince and the Indian Princess Farah teamed up and defeated the vizier, bottled up the sands and restored the world to its normal state. By doing this he used the Sands of time, whoever uses the Sands of time will have to die by the hands of Dahaka, the protector of Sands of time. Now in the Prince of Persia 2 :Warrior Within, prince sail to the island of time to go back to past and stop the Empress of Time from creating the Sands of Time and to change his fate. He succeeds in Stopping the Empress Kaileena from doing so and he defeats the Dahaka.

The Two Thrones:

Now in The Two Thrones the Prince returns to Babylon from the Island of time with his new found love Kailleena. As they reach the Harbor of Babylon, the Prince finds the city under siege. Their ship is wrecked by the mysterious warriors and Kaileena is captured by those warriors. The Prince tries to save the Empress and finds that the evil vizier is the one responsible for the uprising. He instantly murders Kaileena when the Prince reach there to save her and unleash the Sands of Time upon Babylon. The Vizier gets transformed from the Sands of Time and becomes monster like thing, not only he gets transformed the Prince as well gets his soul infected by the Sands.

Now the prince has to defeat the Vizier and his Sand Creatures, not only that he has to fight his own dark soul (The Darker and more arrogant side of his soul). The Prince get transformed between his normal Self and the dark prince. Both of his personality speaks internally between them. Both have the aim to destroy the vizier but the normal prince wants to save other people who he come across on the way to find the vizier, whereas the Dark prince doesn’t wants to save them. The normal Prince will be using the Sand Dagger as his primary weapon and some other Secondary weapons like Sword, axe, etc... In the Later Part of the game the prince gains a powerful secondary sword which can break the cracked wall just like the scorpion sword in Warrior Within. This sword is very strong, can kill enemies in one shot, whereas the dark Prince will have a weapon called daggertail, a chain like weapon than can swung around to attack the surrounding enemies and can be used for swinging across the bars or the lamps on the wall. The dark Prince is very powerful in combat but this comes a price, just like the Sand Wraight in Warrior Within the health of the dark prince reduces constantly, but it can be renewed by recovering the Sands from the defeated enemies, Pots or the furnitures in the environment. The Prince will again team up with Farah, the Indian princess, but she won’t be knowing who the prince is, because she loses her memory when the time is reversed in The Sands of Time.

Game Play:

There is special combat skill called Speed kill where you have sneak behind an enemy and tap the speed kill button, this will start the speed kill animation, during the animation the sword will glow for a spilt seconds where one has to has to tap the dagger attack button to stab the enemy, this will continue for number of times depending on the enemy, if the speed kill is missed by wrong timing one will have to fight the opponent in the usual method. Apart from these skills the prince will have his older skill like recall, slow time, etc.

Sand credits will be given with each sand collected to unlock the Extra Features like artworks. The Videos will be unlocked only when the game is finished and there is a special video for those who obtain all the Life Upgrades.

On the Game part, those who really enjoyed the last two games won’t be disappointed with this one. The game has really some mind twisting Puzzles and boss Fights, one have to do a error and trial method to fight the bosses, because these bosses unlike Warrior Within can not be defeated by just attacking them. For some reason I found this game to be short when compared to Warrior Within.

Graphics & Sound:

On the graphics part it looks similar to Sands of Time game with lots of lightings and improved textures though in some part it is not sharp. On the music side this game doesn’t have the Hard rock that was used in Warrior Within, instead there is the old traditional Persian music. The game is narrated by the Empress of Time, Kaileena whose voice is too soft spoken.
Screenshots:

Damn the Vizier, poor Kaileena.

Empress unleashing the Sands of Time after she is murdered by the evil Vizier

Regain your Health

Death Traps

The Secondary Sword can kill the enemy in a single Strike

Chariot Race, lots of concentration and timings needed.

The Dark Prince ready to wipe out the enemies.

Conclusion:

Thus the game brings the trilogy to an end and will prove satisfying for those who have followed the previous games. With new game plays the game proves to be lot better. But I still like the dark environment and the arrogant like prince in Warrior Within.

Hope you guyz like my review, correct me if i am wrong anywhere.

not like they won't happen on other platforms, that's a part of it and generaly ignored in all games.

Ended the POP:TT
It is not as good as POP:Sand / POP:WW :(
Actually, I am very disapointed with POP:TT.
As, It is of 6CDs I had great expectation.
Small game. piece of cake for those who had already played WW.
Simple story. No twist like in previous 2s.
Simple levels (just with Hard-Bosses)
unlike POP:Sand, Farha is not at all helpfull.
Very bad, stupid, simple ending.
and the most important thing is that - the video clips shown in the 'Trailers' is totally missing from the game !!
POP:Sand - 90 out of 100
POP:WW - 85 out of 100
POP:TT - 60 out of 100

^^^ I dont get it man, y do u need farah's help if u can handle all by urself:huh: as u said the game is simple and one doesn't need her help.
