My canon pixma mp160 have finally died down on me.

Have used it till it fullest.

Now i want to go for a printer cum scanner which i can easily use with refillable ink.

I had horrible time with ink spilling in printer with my pixma plus it being chipped have to reset it every now and than.

Can anyone suggest a good model .My printing requirement is not more than 100 pages per month and budget is only upto 3-4k.

Also i am ready for only black or only printer stuff as with a digicam too i can scan documents. But if first requirement comes within the budget might go for it.

Main need is it should be easily refillable and have good warranty support.

Guys atleast suggest some good refillable printer.

Ready to go for only black printer and without scanner option as i need to print my contract notes.

Its getting urgent.

I'd suggest going for an EPSON printer according to your budget because their cartridges can be refilled.
Check out Epson Stylus TX110. One of my friend owns it. Works perfectly. The scanning is fast, but the printing is slow. Photographs are vibrant. There is no paper-jam/head clogging so far.

It looks to be an old model. Also is it chipped like canon and hp where you need to reset. Can you please ask your friend regarding same. And does he refill himself or from thrid party. As i plan to refill it myself.

My neighbor actually. He is out of station. I don't have his personal mobile number. :| But I think you can buy ink for the same, open the lid on the cartridge, pour ink and re-use. Simple as that.

Some recent good models in this price range are HP Deskjet F4488 and Canon PIXMA MP276. Compare the specifications yourself. I've no decent idea about re-filling in these models though.. Canon's cartridges are cheaper than HP though.
