Hey guys, earlier in techenclave forums..if u receive a PM from a member..it shows You have "xxx no of " Unread Message...and an Alert comes in the middle on the screen saying..you have received a PM from "xxx" , you have "xxx" unread messages etc...that feature was really great and helpful and even starters could make out that they have got a PM

With the new upgrade, when you get a PM , it just shows you have an unread message.....but like the old one..it doesnt flash across the screen and give you an alert ...well i was looking for a PM frm a particular guy so i found out when i got a new PM, but i still think that the old feature was way better for starters as well as others coz you might miss on some PMs if you arent careful / aware at all . it would be better if the old way is still possible, nonethless this is still good, i just said my opinion:)
 
all i can see is "Unread 1" on right top side, but not the alert message that comes in the screen centre.... are you guys using firefox???
 
you must have got the alert message, and you must have closed it :P

you get the alert message for the first time only if you close it

..after that unread messages are shown in bold on top right side of page.

also check if firefox is blocking the pop-up message. cause usually firefox does that ..and you need to put the site's name in safe list.

If u r still not getting PMs pop-up

Go to User CP -> Edit Options -> Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up and check it.
