well i dont know why i made a mistake of creating torrent inviatation thread.........

every newbie pms me for inviataion...cant the admin create stuff like this an option which enable a user will recive pm only if person sending pm has more than 30 posts........
atlest ill b saved.....frm the 10 pms everday for invitations...or mods can my name b removed frm the thread........????
 
lolz magnet, just dont post there that u have so and so invites left, as for restricting pm's i dont think that can be done, as some people who maybe new may also have quiries or may bid on an item on sale thru pm, then what would they do if they cant pm as they dont have 30 posts as yet :P
 
I thnk its a good idea for posting PM restrictions, as even I had recvd a lot of PM's for warez, wonder why ppl think I distribute warez ;)
 
no i said keep that option in pm box...only users who want to use that will enable it...by default it shd b off.......

and i have stop seeing that thread when it was 7 page....but since i was the creater i m the ultimate bakra.........now pooja patel wants invitation go guys help her.........

Well even I Have Received around 10-15 Pms asking me to give Invities and all....... wat I Do is just ignore them and Instantly delete them ! And Like Ice Fusion said Disabling pms is not possible coz even a new serious member may have some important query to make ! The Only way out as I see it is deleting all ur posts frm that Thread completely ! :)

PS : Magnet Plz Ask Pooja to PM me ! I Might Give her an Inviti if she gives me her Ph.No. :P :P
 
Ya me...getting PMs from memebers who have absolutely no posts, asking for a free Rapidshare account....But my problem is not as bad as magnet though....

It seems that man are becoming members just for a Torrent Invite....
 
I think that when those threads get out of hand, they should simply be locked and removed from the forum. I think only one or two active members ever appeared from that thread...

You could potentially alienate newbies who also try and PM in regard to the Market section. There could be a lot of fallout doing this.

let there be an option.........

disable pm frm members havin less than 30 post......
which when enabled users with less than 30 post wont be able to pm me......

bluffmaster......this are all social enggr stuff man.......

1 gav 1 invitation to riya kapoor....before that thrice a day she used to buzzz me........now after invitation.....i used to buzz them but no avail......i guess guyz only create gals id...and ask for such stuff......

btw all mails i received......100% of ppl were having 0 post...jus seee thread name......creater of the topic..and jus buzz them

This Makes sense ! So wat u r Tryin to say is that if u enable this option in ur user cp only u wont be able to recieve any pms frm such members ! This is a Nice Idea ! Wat say admins ?
 
yup that was my sense...there is an option receive pm frm administrater.....

other frm members.....

About removing your name -

I have taken care of the issue.

About filtering PM's based on post counts -

Right now we have no plans to include such a feature where you can filter out PM's based on post counts, so as & when we think of including such a feature , we would surely inform you guys.
