Forum Feedback Privileges to 'Privileged Members'

So what do you think ?

  • Yes. We need extra PM space

Already we have been through enough changes recently, let it continue as it is for atleast a few months :p

We arent members anymore, just some users ;)

What do you want it to be? Isn't 500 enough? Upgraded have 250.
 
whats the difference between Privileged users and upgraded members? and how does one earn it?

EDIT: just saw against my name, happy to know i am privilegded one :)

One has to be active and 200+ posts to be privileged member.
Gains:
  • More PMs
  • Unlimited editing of posts (this was on IPB don't know if this is on vB too)
  • Max no of likes you can give in a day (again same case as above as likes counted as rep in IPB but not here).

I dont think the ability to delete the post on a forum will be a very wise idea.
The results will be a a major contributing factor for a headache for everybody.
 
Agree with Spacy. I don't think anyone needs that. mods are enough. One can report the post and get it deleted. and rest is also fine regarding privileged members. No need for extra pm space etc etc...fine by me. :)
I still don't see no point and likes and rep system. Those who help imo all members know their name. Rest this rep system and likes will again increase with time or else chiragsthakur 'bhadwa le' lol

EDIT : Please remove that 30 sec posting time. Kinda irritating. If not poss. nvm no prob. :)
 
My smiley at the end of my statement says it all Sir :) I dont need any rep points, neither likes, just commented to avoid any more changes in TE, neither have I voted in the polls :)

Instead of privileges users why cant we have a customizable self title which was possible in good old te vbulletin? It was pretty cool in which can be changed via profile settings.
Mods add that option to resemble our own user title....
 
And I am all for doing whatever is reasonable and technically possible. We are exploring how to bring back likes or reps but its not as straightforward as going from VB to IPB. Vbulletin did not do as good a job of providing a migration script as IPB did.

Post restriction reduced to 10s. If you are posting faster than that then you are clearly spamming :p

We can increase PM space if it seems reasonable. Though I see it as an excuse to not delete old messages. :angry:

You can post with 10 seconds gap between two postings . Previously it was 30 seconds. For ex if wanted to add something to the previous reply you have to wait 30 seconds to submit next reply or you should edit the post now the timing is only 10 seconds.
