I have a NEC ND 3550A dvd-writer. It worked well for around 7 months but now it has started giving problems. The dvd burns well , but in verification stage there are bound to be problems on many sectors due to which some files (Say movies) run well while the others dont. Suppose i write around 7 movies , hardly 1 or 2 may work. The rest get hung up when i ever i try to open them. I tried burning cds , they work perfect. Reading cd's and dvd's is also fine
I use nero to write my dvd's.
I have used different media with different writing speeds but the problem persists. What could be wrong ? i dont think its the IDE cable, else that would have given problems to burning cds as well
Also , that verification runs fine for around 25-30% and then the problem starts.
