Hi All Since Last 2 days i was facing some major issue for my WD Green 1 TB 32 mb Cache. Problem started when i got I/O error message on my torrent and found out that it was my Wd HDD . I ignored the problem stating that it would be some torrent issue but later on when i was trying to play movie which was there on that HDD it would Skip and then it would not play . I tried closing the player and started it again it would do the same thing . So then i tried with other movie and it would Skip while playing . So i went and reseated the cable but then tried playing it worked for like 1 hour and then again the same issue . I ran Wd diagnostic test extended one and it passed also ran Debug and formated it . Again the same issue . When i ran the HD Tach on the HDD THE Read Burst speed is 145 mb/sec and i have another similar drive when i ran HD tach it showed 246 Burst speed . I Really dont know what is going on what could be the problem. Can Anyone help me out on this ...this is the first time WD has given me such kind of issues. :@

Run SmartFan on it with the online scan option and that should show any issues, along with deviations from other drives of the same model in their online database.

will be putting that by tonight once i go home . I have 4 1TB whose temp is 32 - 34 and other details to.. but this HD just shows Temp as 44 and Power time UNKNOWN.

@ OP this is exactly how one of my HDD giving me problems. if I restart the system then it works for some time then again problem starts. I'm waiting for new HDD to take backup then I'll send it for RMA. I'll keep an eyes on thread if someone give any solution for this.

Gtsata normally used for raid setup they have slower speed then normal sata ports..

Oh I thought that the SATA ports having the provision of RAID would give normal speeds if used in normal mode. Thanks for the info there...

oh, so i can use those Red coloured RAID sata Ports for Normal SATA HDD connection/operation???...i have 4 of those Red RAID Sata ports unused!
