problem in accessing the Airtel Beetel 22BXI ADSL2 modem setup page

Hi,

I am getting a problem in opening the setup page for beetel 220XI page.Previosly I was open to open the page by "198.168.1.1\main.htm", but then I made some setting in that(access list change or ip addrress enable something :no:) and then after wards it is not opening the page.Please help me to get resolve the problem:huh:
 
regarding resetting for modem... I did on/off a switch in modem device and then tried, but no effect.

is there any way to reset the modem...but reseting will cause the modem setting flush and agian i will have to call airtel guy for configuration:no:

Is there any way to put the modem in previous stable state so that my settings will be reverted.....
 
save yourself the trouble and register a complaint with Airtel. For all you know, the SE would be at your door step in the next few hours. :)
 
r u using the modem in bridge or ppoe mode? this makes a difference in which the config page can be accessed.

if u are in bridged mode: set ur default gateway to 192.168.1.1 (if not already done) and try accessing the page again... this should do it.

Try this for PPOE also
 
yes..I think the problem is that only that is my default gateway now is wireless router(netgear)10.0.0.1.

[root@localhost ~]# route -e

Kernel IP routing table

Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface

10.0.0.0 * 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0

169.254.0.0 * 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth0

default 10.0.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth0

But again as u told that set the gateway to beetel modem(192.168.1.1), in that case

[root@localhost ~]# route add default gw 192.168.1.1

SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable

so not able to set the gateway:(
 
Are you accessing the modem via the router? Try disconnecting the wi-fi router and hook up to the modem directly.
