Storage Solutions Problem playing Dvd's

I have some self burned/ copied dvds. I also have two computers both with windows 7 installed (installed from same disk).My problem is that few of them do not run on one computer, but plays properly on the second computer. So far as I could ascertain, settings are same on both computers. Most of dvds run on both machines.
Pl. solve my problem. Thanks.
Edit :I have installed k-lite codec pack on both.

its gotta be a problem with the dvd-rw drive

even the disk burnt on my drive doesnt read on the same drive but works fine on other computers
