My o/s is windows 7.Till now I was using ver.9.0.0.409 but today it automatically 'deactivated' and despite my best efforts I could not activate it. I thought that the problem is being caused by virtue of the same being an older version and hence I removed the same and installed ver.9.0.0.418 of Avira Antivirus Personal which installed successfully.
But I 'm unable to update the virus def. files.Whenever i click the ' start update' option, updater windows does open but nothing happens afterwards.
No transfer of bytes takes place.
