CPU/Mobo Problem with A64 Cool n Quite Software

I have a A64 2800+ with a Asus K8N4-E Deluxe mobo running Win XP SP2

I have installed the AMD processor driver...but i try to install the cool n quite software from the cd it gives me an error "Fail to install IO driver"

the same happens when i tried to install the AiBooster utility from the Asus cd

Please help me out!!

To enable cnq, just set your power profile to portable.

Edit after wraith's reply below : In that case try d/l the Cool n Quite software and also the Asus AiBooster utility from the asus site directly, see if those install.
