I installed the Vista Ultimate OEM like 2 weeks back....everything seemed just that it has issues with Nforce drivers....did some research on net and tried to fix that...that was done..
now today when i tried to start steam ( cs 1.6 ) there's another issue...the game loads...but when i try to connect to any server / start a new game the game hangs when validating resources..at this time the memory under the task manager is also high...HL.exe eats up around 90000+ Kz...

i hate installing it again....will have to d'load the complete stuff over the net ...or should i just delete the CS 1.6 local files and install them....
