Problem With Drupal

Hi friends, I'm installing drupal for the first time. There is a problem I'm facing while installing drupal. I'm getting a error when I'm providing database name, username and password. I'm attaching the screenshot of the error.



I've tried many times but I'm getting same error everytime.

I must mention that I'm trying to install Drupal 6.15 and using XAMPP 1.7.3.

Please help. What is the problem??
 
Have you tried googling for those errors ;)

did you copy default.settings.php to create settings.php, or did you rename it ?
 
Renamed it. Ohhhh I'm supposed to copy it, means default.settings.php and settings.php both the file should exist. Thank you friend for pointing out the mistake.
