problem With Iphone with Hutch n/w

I just came back from London today where I was using my unlocked Iphone 8gb with orange carrier....

I unlocked my iphone using zipphone 2.5. It was working perfectly in London with no issues....

The problem is that in India when I removed the sim and inserted my Hutch (Vodafone) SIm in Bangalore; it recognized the SIM but I was not able to make outgoing calls or by dialing from the keypad....
As soon as I press the 9 key the phone returns to home page.
I am able to make calls from the contact list though.....

Also, I am unable to receive any incoming calls....when I tried calling from a landlie or another mobile....there was a ring in the land line earpeice but the iphone simply showed no incoming call for me to receive...instead it just hangs for the time the user is making the call.....

I called a local dealer here in Bangalore and he said he need to unlock the network in Iphone.... any ideas guys ....pls help
 
Which firmware version are you using ?
zcrap sux. don't use it from now on .
use iLiberty or Winpwn.
amm Restore it with the latest firmware and use iLiberty or winpwn to unlock it.

I am using iphone 1.1.2 .....

Any links to the latest iliberty and Winpwn...

Also will these work in 1.1.4? If so I can upgrade to 1.1.4 right?

In 1.1.2 crash does occur because the exact location syntax has not been fed into the iphone.

One more thing.....some sites for Winpwm say "it might cause you to end up restoring your iPhone."...Is this true....

Also I need to restore my iphone to 1.1.2 or 1.1.4 and then use winpwn or iliberty....right? Also what r u using??

no problem bro !!

Put your phone into DFU mode.

To do this.

Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2. Hold Power and Home button, the iPhone should now be boot.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but HOLD the home button.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you in restore mode.

Step 1. Connect iphone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.

Step 2. Hold 2 buttons until hear disconnect sound then release power button.

Step 3. Wait until hear another sound then release home button.

Then iTunes will pop up the message that iTunes has detected your phone in Restore Mode. Click OK. then you will see Restore Button in iTunes. Just press it and iTunes will restore it to 1.1.4.

I have used iLiberty+ with 1.1.4. Unlocked fine, and am using with Vodafone in Mumbai and Bangalore. Would suggest you restore, upgrade firmware and then unlock. There are three parts to the unlock - Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock. I think you may have missed one of them when unlocking with Ziphone.

Thanks a lot guys.....

I upgraded to 1.1.4 and used iliberty 1.3 to unlock and jailbreak.....

I also found out something weird after unlocking.... not sure it holds for all iphones or just mine...... I am not able to connect to cell phones most of the times....but if I put a zero before the number the % of success increases..?? Is this true or just a coincidence?

Phones working fine without any issues.... I rwally love the flow of the album art and the scroll function in the Ipod-iphone......:clap:
