Really sorry for you ... maybe we should have a buyer alert for those looking to get new disks from lammy... dont get the Hitachis get the Seagates as most of the stock seems to be bad :(

Dammit SG and hitachi 320's no good. Me looking for one too. WD has a 320 gigger, but its slower...

OK, got barracuda :D Its slower than my earlier 'cuda, though...



A bit weird; the speed increases just before the end :P Still, I'll not complaining.
Edit: Any way I can name this hdd? Can I change the model no. or something? :P Cause I have two st3320620as now.
 
Seems like the speed is almost 10mbps off the normal 7200.10 ... are you sure it's not the cable or some other issue ??

anyway glad you got it sorted :)

seagate 7200.10 all issues solved?

i've refrained from buying a hdd so far :P gonna pick one soon.
