Audio Problem with Philips SHP 1900....

Hello to all... I am having some problem with my Headphone. when i plug it to the PC or any other device, it sounds like voice is being cancelled from song(or like sewer pipe effect), but by adjusting a little, the sound is normal. But it doesn't work when i fix the pin into socket tightly.. I don't know why it is happening.. Can anybody help me out??
 
Wiring has gone bad or perhaps the socket itself. I hope you have confirmed this problem by plugging the headphones into multiple devices. If so, get the socket replaced. See if you can source a gold-plated socket from your neighbourhood electronics' spare store or use the normal one. As such, the difference won't be much so you are good to go with the normal ones as well. :)
 
The headphones 3.5mm jack. Also get it done by a professional, as even a slightest imperfection can cause noise in sound. For best results > Use silver solders :) But isnt economical for budget headphones. And btw, it performs lot better with an amp.
