Hi Everyone,

I stay in Bangalore.
Thanks in advance

Maybe bang guys cud probably help u but if u'd elaborate a bit more about the problem, its quiet possible tht the guys here will be able to help u sort it out..not all malfunctions need the hardware to be taken back to the service centers..so u can explain..:)

Hi the issue is that if i start any game after few min the picture gets distorted.(there will be a lots of dots. Green dots if it on black back ground and pink if its on white. If i check the temp it was going towards 70 degree. But as soon as i quit the game temp falls back to 52. But the dots wont vanish. If we reboot the initial boot screen also will have some distortions. So i thought this may not be Software problem may be hardware.

Seems to be rather common issue ppl are reporting with the XFX 7600 gs..i have the same card, but touchwood, not faced such a problem..i knew from the beginning tht this card's gonnaheat up a lot owing to its heatsink without any fan..tht passive cooling is not even remotely adequate for the gpu.. i had read in a lot of forums about it going above 100C at loads..so i took the decision to fix a n 80 mm fan on top of the sink to keep the card cool..

seems my mod paid off as now, my card's idle temp stays at 44C...when i play cricket 2007 or nfs most wanted, the card temps stay at 47C..hehe..i actually alt-tabbed to see the temps during game but it stayed at 47C..

So i think a fan is necessary to keep tht card cool..try to fix a fan ( u can even stick it cello tape) n see if it helps u..

Its prolly heating problems coz you say this happens only when u play games.

Get a temperature monitoring software like rivatuner to log card temps and try playing the games while running the rivatuner to monitor.

i have the latest graphic driver software for my card that monitors the temperature pretty well. The card is hardly 6 months old (So i can't even think about replacement:O, since my previous card (XFX 6600GT) got already replaced since it was faulty). right now the card is at a warm 72 degrees celcius. According to Legit Reviews - Technology News and Reviews this is quite normal for XFX 7600 GS. Actually my comp was ON nonstop for atleast 3 days for my downloads to get completed (Since my net connection is limited i want to download as much as i can in this limited time). No wonder, it was quite obvious if on top of that if i play games it naturally would have hung.I remember when yesterday i was playing NFS MW , the temperature had gone to 83 degrees C.Since i am hardcore PC lover i want to make my PC work the best under high temperatures. That's why i am planning to buy a VGA cooler ........... And also guys; none of you have given me ur reviews on the VGA cooler............
