Processor - Amd Phenom X3 8650

Motherboard - Asus-M3N78-EM

RAM - Gskill 4gb DDR2

GPU - MSI GTX 260 (216 cores)

PSU - Corsair VX 550

i was able to play Assassin Creed Brotherhood ,Dirt 2 in full graphic without any problem

but i was not able to play Mass Effect 2 and Spiderman Shattered Dimmension ,my sreen use to blackout and Mass Effect 2 and Spiderman Shattered Dimmension game freezes

for 10 sec and gets on black and this repeats .

I suppose that my cpu gets overheat while im playin Mass Effect 2 my cpu

temperature was above 50 deg,but for Spiderman Shattered Dimmension my cpu temperature was around 46 deg

50 degrees cpu temps are not too high for such behavior. I have never heard of such an experience for cpu temps anyways.

What is the gpu temperature and the drivers that you're using currently?.

Try increasing the gpu fan speed with rivatuner and check if occurs again.

i have already done that but no effect

i m using latest drivers and riva tuner

and gpu temp is around 70 deg when i play Mass Effect 2

Have you updated to the latest game update? maybe the issue is fixed with an update you haven't applied.

i dont know about that but i used to play Mass effect 2 with my onboard graphic card with no heat issues whatsoever,i think there is problem in my GTX 260

70 deg for a graphic card is not an issue at all. I have a 9600gt and the idle temp of my card is 59 and it goes upto 70 rarely while gaming. yours is gtx260 and you must be playing in high resolution, so it is obvious. Just with one game, you cant accuse your card of overheating...

^^

Can you run CoreTEMP and Rivatuner in the background while gaming. Note down the load temperatures and let us know.

Both can log run-time temperatures. Get the max. readings from the devices.
