Hi.

I sold a Transcend Digital Photo Frame Model to TE member HfiGuy. Thread is located at:

http://www.techenclave.com/phones-and-gadgets/sony-minidv-cam-dcr-hc21e-transcend-188461.html

More on it from the thread itself (my post dated 9th July, 2011):

Hi.

I sold this Digital Photo Frame to HfiGuy. He made the payment on 21st June. After I posted my above post on June 21, I got a call from a friend on HFV (hifivision.com) and he told me that this person is "Spidey" from HFV and suggested not to deal with this person as he will surely throw tantrums later. But I thought that I have a perfect product so he should be happy to get it. Otherwise also, it is a matter of Rs.1,800/- and if he does something like this, I will refund his money. Before sending it, I thoroughly checked it and deleted my personal pictures and mp3 files from it.

I dispatched it on 23rd June and he received it on 24th June.

I got a PM from him on 25th June (06:10 PM):

Hi

I recieved the photo frame, but am not happy with its condition.

The border front frame is loose in one corner and is coming out.

the remote is not working.

i dont think this was a wise made purchase.

regards

I instantly replied (25th June (06:12 PM)):

Hi.

It was a 100% fine product when I sent it. Still, if you don't like it, please send it back and I will refund your money.

BTW, Are you spidey from HFV?

Regards,
Mg.

He did not reply. Today, after exactly 2 weeks, I got a PM this morning:
Dear Mgdelhi,

Pls be truthful to yourself. You say the product was working 100% fine.

But as per me the product was lying packed and unused with you for some time.
you did not bother to check if all was functioning well and parceled it to me.

I do indeed like a refund , only that I did not keep the box and packing after opening.

Still, i am not happy with the deal and will leave a suitable feedback.

thanks
Now I request TE members to suggest me that should I accept his blackmailing of negative feedback? I am ready to refund Rs.1,800/- but will it be fair?

He was not too busy that he responded after 14 days, he was very much active and logged in almost every day here and on HFV (selling his products).

I searched HFV and found a few instances like this on HFV, I can post the links if it is allowed here on TE.

Personally, I would not bother of a negative feedback of such a person because I am not here to do trading, in fact idea of selling some products which I don't use, came to my mind only after joining TE and other forums.

But I am bound to obey what TE and mods decide. I can refund Rs.1,800/- to him, to TE for betterment of TE. Not a problem. I do not want even the product back without box and God knows what has he done to it in last 15 days.

my post of yesterday (1st August, 2011)

And he did it.

I offered him a full refund within 2 minutes after I got his PM.

Now he says "the seller is a cheater who dumps his unused junk on various forums.beware!!!"

Shame on him and I regret having dealt with this person even after getting a warning from friend.

I contacted moderators and TE moderator logistopath is kind enough to suggest me to post this whole episode in "Market Feedback" section so that based on other members opinion, mods will take a decision and retract the negative iTrust rating, if necessary..

Guys, I am not here to make money by selling the stuff I am not using. A couple of TE members have visited my place and will know what I am saying. So, this effort is to make it to limelight what is not correct.

His name is Anirudh Thakre. He is from Pune. He is known as Spidey on hifivision.com. (mods please this part if it is not allowed to mention other forums). He buys the stuff but after buying it, he feels that may be it was not worth it and creates such dramas. Sometimes, it happen soon after getting it sometimes, even after 2 years.

I know at least 2 cases about him.

In first case, he bought a pair of used speakers for 55k and paid 50k and assured the member that he will pay the balance after he gets the speakers. Once he got the speakers, he never paid those 5k. After using the speakers for 2 years, he started creating the similar story and asked the seller to return his full money. You will get to read more about it at:

Usher BE-718 - Page 10

The second issue, he bought an Xtreamer, after using it a while, he thought of buying something new and created a similar drama.

"COSTLY" and Scarce after-sales from Xtreamer India

Later on, because there was no problem with the media player, he tried to sell it:

Xtreamer

So, guys, it is your call, you want to deal with person or not in future. I mentioned his real name because he creates new id's on different forums. I am 100% sure that if he had spidey as his TE id, I would have not replied even his PMs. So, if you know the real name, at least before shipping (while selling) or making payment (while buying), you will know that it is the same person.

Mg.

refund after two years ?

this guy is great.

Thanks for posting the detailed info. Mods will take serious action if needed. Let's wait if Hifiguy has to say anything...

His Name can neatly sum up the history, Worse, i am really finding it difficult to digest the fact that he can't usually do a better job.

Um i think you are right at your position, because you said that you would refund the full amount, but he didn't reply. Later after 2 weeks, he is asking for refund - this seems fishy.

For now i support you, but i would like to hear from him as well

Refund after 2 years, well guess he is a hi fi guy....

Mg, thanks for writing your side fo the story and lets hear if the other guy has anything to say....hi fi stuff, that is :S

Both sides should post pics (OP should post his last available and buyer should post current pics) so that the product can be compared. If OP has copy of bill, serial number should also be verified. This can considered as a first step.

well the user has got few +ve feedback though .. which cannot be ignored !!!

Seller awestriker(2) 19 Jul 11 Fast payment.Smooth transaction.Recommended buyer.A++++++

Seller psyph3r(50) 4 Jul 11 smooth deal as usual

Seller khanvis2009(7) 23 Oct 10 fast and easy transaction . no issues at all . awesome buyer

Seller kekerode(26) 16 Sep 10 Great Buyer. Clear communication. Highly Recommended

Seller aceman0(5) 15 Jul 10 excellent buyer

well its always sad if theres no AFTERDEAL SATISFACTION

well you know it is a used product , if the buyer is expecting new ones then he should go buy a new one ...

this is getting stale now, people buying and complaining its not good

1) Two weeks late in responding.

2) Throwing away the packing and other material.

Pretty much seals it. I have seen people coming to mkt section.. bumping their own threads up and not replying to people who are in urgent need of it.

No need to pay attention to cry babies like these.

"But as per me the product was lying packed and unused with you for some time"
What is happening ?People will sell the product only if he is not using it or upgrading it.
Is there any rule anywhere that we should not sell the products which are not being used by us

I strongly recommend that you not give a refund. Let him justify his side first. There was at least one other case on TE where a guy bought a phone, bricked it after experimenting with all sorts of ROM updates and then tried to get a refund blaming the seller. Sad, but people like these exist and the other two cases on hifivision is proof of the buyers intentions.

Whatever you do, do not try to show your generosity by refunding the amount. This is what he wants and wants it so badly that he creates such situations for you. This guy must be a minor, probably a spoilt child. Time someone put him on their lap and spared the rod.

I got a message from HfiGuy today at 01:56 PM

This guy should be blacklisted from the market section or atleast put up on a caution list. Its people like him who give the market section a bad name.

The -ve iTrust rating issued by Hifiguy has been deleted by the moderators.

Thank you moderators and TE members. :)

Mg.
