Problems, Problems, Damn !

Guys I have run into a lot of problems...

My OC to 2250 Mhz (250 x 9) with my 3000+ Winchester was fine for a few days. Infact Prime blend test ran for 7 hours. Today, it refused to boot. Increased Vcore to 1.500v, now Far Cry and even Firefox are crashing. Prime will only run for 5 minutes and the PC has freezed twice.

RAM is at 5:3 (204 Mhz) 3-4-4-8, 1T mode, Vdimm is 2.8v Hynix D43.

What possibly could have gone wrong ? Temps are absolutely fine, 41 idle and 51 full load...

Hey.,..... your CPU is brand new..... wait for sometime before you raise voltages to such levels...... PLEASE HAVE PATIENCE

All CPUs clock better after their burning in period.....

So, I suggest you go back to stock and run your CPU at stock for the next 2 months before going back to oc'ing....

Nikhil posted 0.98 minutes later:

and 7 hrs on Prime is not enough to guarantee stability. Run it for at least 24 hrs....

Yeah, that is exactly what I am going to do I will take it back to 2 Ghz.

Thanks a lot Nikhil but if there are any other suggestions, keep em coming !
