CPU/Mobo Proccy +Mobo combo

Hey guys !!
M luking for a basic download rig ... (Budget 4-5k)

Earlier was using AMD, but now would def switch over to intel.

Plz suggest me some Intel Atom Processor+mobo combos, which have a good performance.

And is Atom config better than going for cheaper AMDproccy+mobo combos.
 
Intel atom + D945GCLF-ATOM - 3.1k
Intel ATOM D945GCLF2 ABOVE + TV OUT -4.5k
AMD Sempron 140+Asus M2N68-AMPLUS - 4.2k.
Both these combos fall into your budget. The intel will do nicely for 24*7 download rig as it is very low power consuming. Go for the AMD if you need to add HDD or RAM in the future as the Atom provides little scope for upgrading.
 
Get the Intel set-up suggested above for a basic dwnld rig.
But if you'd like more performance, and power consumption is not an issue :)S unlikely), do consider
Intel E 5300~3.3k+G31~2.2k=5.5k,
suits the budget and packs quite a punch.

+1 for the intel atom config.
 
Are you sure you wanna switch to intel? Coz' AMD packs a much bigger punch in the budget section.

Try: Jetway PN78VM2-LF [3K] + Sempron 140 [1.8K]
