Budget 21-30k Proccy/mobo/ram/gfx upgrade

Hi guys,

Past 2 years i have not been following up on the proccy/mobo releases. So have no idea about the current situation
Just bought NFS most Wanted and it is running quite bad on my system(I know its a crappy port). So want to build a decent gaming rig. Nothing too expensive
Looking for proccy/mobo/ram and gfx card which will be a good improvement over my existing setup

Please suggest a setup which does not cause bottleneck with the existing components i will be using. Also open to suggestions for keeping any other existing component to make the build more VFM

@swordfish123 Go with this-
Intel i5 3450-11.5k OR Intel i3 3220-7.4k
Gigabyte B75M D3H-4.5k
Gskill Ripjaws 2X2GB 1600mhz-1.7k
Sapphire HD7750-7k OR Sapphire HD7770-9k
Hope this help.:)

@Jakob

I am ok with this config

Intel i5 3470
Gigabyte B75M D3H
Gskill Ripjaws 2X2GB 1600mhz

Looks like AMD 7770 doesn't perform that great at higher resolutions. Are there any other options at 12-14k which my Corsair vx450 can handle. Was looking at GTX560. What is the AMD equivalent and does it perform better?

For 7850, you will need 500W PSU, so If you are not looking for PSU upgrade, do not go for it. settle for 7770 or 650 Ti, whichever suits your needs.

If your budget permits for i5, go for it. This : http://www.flipkart.com/intel-3-1-g...FJRD&ref=046672ae-1717-4733-a0f5-cb71ed47cf90

For Mobo, stick with Jakob's suggestion. i.e. Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H. I just recently built a rig with it only. It's good Mobo. It has 1 - PCIEx16 3.0 slot and 1 - PCIEx4 2.0 slot, on which you can achieve crossfireX too. It's not for OC though. But for OC, again, under your budget you cannot expect decent components.

My advice -1
- Get following and settle for next 2 years, if you can flex budget a bit
1) Core i5-3450 (i3 3220 will also do here)
2) Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
3) MSI / Sapphire 7850 (try to find out 2GB variant)
4) Seasonic S12II 520W
5) G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) PC RAM (F3-12800CL9S-4GBXL)

My advice - 2
If budget is restricting you, go for following.
1) Core i3-3220 (It's really a decent proccy with 2 cores and 4 threads)
2) Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
3) MSI 7770 PE or Sapphire 7770 OC (Comparision between 7770 and 650 : AnandTech - Bench - GPU12) or (Any - Zotac may be) Nvidia 650 Ti 2 GB
- I would prefer 7770 if budget restriction is there, and later on, I would crossfire by adding another card and good PSU.
4) same as above, Gskill 4 gig 1600MHz
5) No PSU upgrade required right now.

Also, try to find out pricing locally too, FK prices are most of the times on higher side.

Don't worry your vx450 will easily handle the 7850.
i too got the same components except ram(2x4gb ripjaws) and mobo(gigabyte b75m-d3h) go with this mobo.
