it would almost impossible to fit the core i7 930 combo under 30k m8 you might have to increase your budger a bit ...

what it cost me was

core i7 930 14300

Rampage II Gene 14600

Gskill Tripple channel kit 11100

and the resolution you have mentioned you really dont need any of these components ....

If u mean the gaming resolution then i am gonna upgrade to a 24' monitor and a 5970 in 2 months :)

and i included i7 930 as someone suggested me:

Processor:Intel Core i7 930

Motherboard:MSI X58 Pro-E

RAM:Corsair XMS 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz

And yes the budget is flexible if required.

BTW the rig is not for me it's for my cousin :)

you would be better served with a i7 865 or i7 860 you will not be losing much and at stock the i7 860 slightly edges the 920 in performance, this will also fit into your budget much easily the motherboard cost would be a lot less.

Yes, will upgrade the following within 6 months

GPU - 5970

In 6 months, HD5970 will be dead, we'll either have HD5990 or HD6800/HD6900.. in PC buying, never plan for more than a month ahead...it's futile..

Better get a i-5 750 ~10k and a decent P-55 mobo for 7-8k.
RAM: GSkill CL7 4Gb Kit ~ 7.5k.

Also i would suggest u wait till u have money to get a GFX and Monitor and then go for an over haul then.
Early next year. (7-8 months from now) Intel will release their Sandy Bridge chips which would end up 15-20% faster than the present gen. ones clock to clock IINM. Also they are gonna release LGA1155(Replacing LGA 1156 by Q1 2011) and LGA 2011(replacing LGA1366 by Q3 2011).

ATI too would be releasing their HD6xxx chips this christmas season IIRC. So its better u go for a total overhaul when u have enough cash.
