Hi All,

My current specification of my CPU is

Processor:Amd Phenom X4 9650 2.3 ghz
Motherboard:Gigabyte 780G s2h
Ram:4 gb ddr2
Cabinet:Cooler Master 430
PSU:CM Extreme power plus 600 W
Hard Disk: Seagate 1 tb 7200 rpm
GPU:zotac gtx 560 Ti

I want to upgrade my processor, mobo and ram.I primarily use my computer for video editing. So i need a processor which can render videos quickly
and also run Adobe after effects smoothly.

My budget is Rs 30,000/-.

Can anybody suggest me an awesome processor, mobo and ram within my budget?

You will overclock your processor? Since AMD Bulldozer octa core processor launch is pretty close I would suggest you to hold on for a while until the reviews hit the net.

+1 to what Darkangel said... Wait for a month or two, you will have more options to upgrade coz your budget is good enough to get an AWESOME ;) processor/mobo/ram for you... If you are in a hurry, Core i7 2600/2600K is the proccy , a P67/H67 mobo and Kingston hyper X /Corsair Xms3. Details and tentative price break up can be given if you have made up your mind to take it now, rather than waiting for AMD BD.

If OP cannot wait, then a better option will be

Intel Core i5 2500 ~ 10800/- + Cooler Master 212+ ~ 1800/- [even if you are not over-clocking, video encoding is CPU-intensive and thus to keep thermals down, get a decent third party HSF package instead of the stock Intel HSF]

Intel DH67-BL ~ 5200/-

Corsair XMS3 1600 MHz 4GB x 2 ~ 3100/- [single 4GB stick retails around 1550/-, more the RAM the merrier and great prices these days too]

Corsair VX 550W ~ 4500/- [change your eXtreme Power SMPS for this before it explodes in your face]

I am not pinning my hopes on Bulldozer to change the show too much [its very hype-y and very little substance showing for it], its a classic tale of -- "Too little, too late". AMD I hope you are listening.

If you can be a bit more accomodating in the budget, try to get the Intel Core i7 2600 ~ 14500/- [hyper-threading = faster renders] http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/287?vs=288.

^^ Where did you see Seasonic SMPS's in Bangalore [which shop]. I've seen all the Corsair line-up in full force, throughout S.P. Road [VX, HX series in max number, TX at select outlets or available on special request].

OP i highly suggest you to wait as the bulldozer launch is very near and they are turning out to be very good overclockers and are rumored to be very competitively priced.

hmmm..thank you all..but is AMD bulldozer good enough for video editing/rendering?.Generally Intel supports Mercury playback engine in Adobe after effects..will AMD Bulldozer have any such features?
