CPU/Mobo Processor + Motherboard under 8k

Hi,

Guys Please recommend a Good Processor and Motherboard Combo under 8k for my Friend's PC which is on its last legs. Went to market and saw Intel Kit (G630+Asus/MSI/Gigabyte Mobo) for 6k but He would watch HD Movies & a bit Gaming for which I can't recommend him a Intel kit as that means additional expense on a good gfx card which he is not interested in. I know Llano is over and has no future but AMD's APU would serve him good as regards to his needs I think and later on he can get a gfx card if he wants. Please reply soon as tomorrow I have to accompany him to market to get new machine. Thanks,

@meet6600 Increase your budget by 1k and go for this combo-
AMD A6 3650-6.2k OR A6 3500-4.5k
Gigabyte A55M-DS2-3.5k
The AMD APU will give you good performance for gaming with it's IGP.
If you don't want to game at all then Intel i3 2120+Gigabyte H61 combo will be suited.

@meet6600 if you can wait for some time I suggest that it is best that you go for AMD 'Trinity' based build, it will be better and more powerful as well as efficient. Cheerio!

Else, Jakob's suggestion is pretty much your only choice.

@Jakob & @ ALPHA17 Got the kit on 27/09/2012 A6 3500
Gigabyte A55M-DS2 fo7500/- and My Friend is Happy Gaming and using his refreshed rig! Thanks! His Monitor was on old 15" CRT Samsung so resolution is not an issue! The Day he upgrades his Monitor only then I guess onboard GPU would show its limitation.
