CPU/Mobo Processor Suggestions for Upgrade

Hi,

I currently own a AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE on a ASUS MA378EM and was waiting for BD Upgrade but as seen in the reviews it's performance for me is not worth upgrading so looking to upgrade to a Phenom II X4 so please suggest which one is a good buy!! Need something that is within 6k and also has some nice power consumption though I know nothing can come close to Intel in power management so please suggest something that is VFM now from current line of AMD Processors. Checked out some 955, 965, 970 and 975 reviews but can't decide which one to go for. Checked ASUS Website and BIOS is updated to handle all of them.

Get a 965 Black Edition, more vale than a 955 now. For basically the same TDP of the 955 you are getting a slightly faster processor, for a not so sharp increase in price.

Yea try a 965 BE c3 edition..I had one before .:hap2:

The 955,965, 975 are all black edition processors, with an unlocked multiplier, so I'd suggest getting the cheapest one, and increasing the multiplier only when you need it. Their power draw should be about the same.
