programming PC from SP road - Advice Please

I am a web developer and I madly need a good PC. I don't want to play games (so, i can ignore GPUs). My main use is for programming, and little bit watching movies and music.

While suggesting, please forget about games :hap5:

1. Q: What is your budget?
1. 25-30K

4. Q: Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
1. CPU - AMD (quad core)
2. Motherboard - any compatible motherboard (if possible, dual VGA output)
3. GPU - (not reqd I think)
4. Monitor - good wide screen (~8K)
5. good keyboard and mouse
6. RAM - 4 GB - if possible, DDR3 :S
7. DVD writer
8. UPS (or if possible something similar, which will give good backup)
9. Sober CPU case (i don't want those funky lights and all, but cooling must be adequate - if possible, water cooling :D)
10. Decent PSU (don't want to invest much in this)

6. Q: Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)

7. Q: Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market

1. 16~18 hrs operation

IF you are gonna build an programming pc according to ur specs u should increase it to 30k+ as u need DDr3 performance.

The possible places where you canskimp on if on a tight budget is,
i) Proccy: AMD Athlon II X3 435(2.9Ghz, 3 cores, 1.5MB Cache) - Rs.3700
ii) Get only 2GB RAM now and 2GB later.
iii) Get cheaper 740G/780G DDRII mobo for ~3k and invest the money on 4GB DDRII ~ 4.9k right away.
 
Hi folks! first of all, THANKS A LOT!

I have INCREASED my BUDGET to 35k (MAX).

I am confused with a few things. But, first, let me tell you my config:

CPU: AMD phenom II X2 555BE ~4.6k

mobo: gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3 ~5.3k

RAM: 2GB DDR3 corsair ~3k

HDD: alrady have (500GB segate 7200rpm)

PSU: gigabyte superb 460 ~2.3k

case: Cooler Master 310 ~1.6k

monitor: samsung B2030 ~7.2k OR samsung 21.5" ~9k

mice and keyboard: logitech internet pro 0.8k

DVD writer: 1k

UPS: SUGGESTION needed

SPEAKER: SUGGESTION needed

Please correct me if I am wrong anywhere or making any mistake.

CONFUSION: monitor (benq or samsung) & CPU (athlon-x4 or phenom-x2)

I am going to buy it from SP Road. Shop: SUGGEST PLEASE

My home town is is KOLKATA. Would it be a good idea to get the CPU, MOBO and RAM from chandni chock?

do not roam around b'coz people may cheat you with grey material

visit ankit , golchha , infinite , unnathi (wholesale price if u have perfect config they will not explain u) & mega byte corp

Kingstone 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz : 2500/-

LG DVD writer 975/-

Cooler master Eline 334 with 400 W PSU : 3600/-

DVI to DVI connector (samsung) : 135/-

Dell 22" ST2210 LCD monitor 8400/-

Logitech keyboard and mouse MM : 650/-

VAT @ 5%

total including VAT : 28,200/-

Had a great experience with this shop. Really a nice. The prices are little more then the prices posted by other techenclave members (I have seen kingstone DDR3 RAM for 2200/- in some threads), but no problem!

I went to purchase the samsung P 2250, but its not available anywhere. So I opted for Dell (recommended by ashirwad), its really nice and huge (till today morning I was using my dell 6400 inspiron with 15" screen).

If any one is going to purchase some stuff from SP road, then try ashirwad once. I can bet, finally you will purchase from them! And I got their name and address from techenclave itself :)

Prices are pretty decent :) DDRIII for Rs.2200 was lasted just for 10 days and that too about 10 months back. Now the price is ~2.6k at most places.
