. What would be good figure of applications to be in start up?!

There is not any hard and fast rule.

It depends on the system. If its slow then use the bare minimum required application in the startup.

and yes the Java Updater is not the required one.

For removing Java update

Control Panel > Java > Updates Tab > Clear the tick on the Check for Updates Automatically.

That should stop it.

Groove Monitor comes as a part of MS Office. I'm not sure if you can remove it.

Rest of the apps seem fine. After doing this, defrag your hard disk and also run chkdsk.

#[member='Doremon'] Run msconfig, and go to the startup tab >> Disable all and then restart. This will only affect the various applications that are loaded at startup, so it is perfectly safe. Now, check your applications that you commonly use, and make sure that each of them works fine. If any application throws up an error, open msconfig and enable the startup entry for that app only. Repeat the process for all your commonly used apps. That way, your windows OS will boot only with the bare essentials that you need.

thnx bro., but Windows warns me its strongly recommend to run for updating at least once in a month! I scared & did so! Changed updating mode from daily to monthly.

#Doremon, if possible do post scan log of Hijack this

Done & wait!

That's laborious but perfect!. Thanks bro.

It seems now you should be good to go.

ok now your startup seems to be good.

If you want you can also remove this

Yes HKCU:Run BgMonitor_{79662E04-7C6C-4d9f-84C7-88D8A56B10AA}

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NMBgMonitor.exe"

This is another process related to NERO , not needed in startup.

tech_bot:- thanks for NERO note. Disabled...

Now, PC boot takes exact 2 minutes. Is it justify to P4 (2.20 GHz intel, 1GB RAM) PC.?

Obviously, boot time reduced about 2-3 minutes than before.

Am still having suspicious on,

(1) Yes.....Task......SBWUpdateTask_Logon_cabdeee-0019D18D0661......

(2) Yes...Task.....SBWUpdateTask_Time_cabdeee-0019D18D0661.........

These are speedbit download program patches. I don't think so its required. Should i disable? Pl correct me.

(3) Windows updates sets on daily updates in system properties. Is this settings affects booting?

(4) My little master downloaded heavy games. Lots of game here and there but not in startup, I am sure.

(5) 60% Memory occupied at present. (130 GB data out of 250 GB free space)
