Protecting the microusb port of phone

As I tether my phone a lot, I am afraid that soon or later the microusb port on the phone is going to break. Does anyone know how I can ensure that it lasts for at least 2-3 years?

Yes, just use it gently with care. Else it might break and come out or get loose and hang inside the phone itself.

Dont put any force on it while plugging charger or usb cable. Nor plugin cable in it by shaking.

why dont you use bluetooth to connect with the pc?

For internet , the speeds given wont be much different unless you use 3g to connect to the computer!

as for protecting the port, whenever you plug in and pug out, do it slowly and nicely, so that the port doesnt become loose !

microusb ports are rather difficult to maintain if you use it a lot! Because it has a very hard grip !
