PS2 component cable Question

Ok, now i have a component cable for the PS2 and it runs fine but when i try to enable progressive scan from the games that support it it just turns blue (the screen). That Ybryr or whatever that is is enabled in the ps2 menu, so what should i do to make it run, thanks, i know some of u will help hyeah:

I'm using an onida CRT but the tv supports PScan as well as it has those Green, Blue and red ports at its back, just when i try to turn on PScan screen goes blank

Simple : Does your tv support PScan? Chances are it doesnt and therefore you have the conflict. Almost all CRTV's are 480i and Pscan is 480p
(im speculating here so please correct me if im wrong)
On my crt it didnt work, but on my LCD it works fine. So thats the reason for my speculation.

Most CRTs don't support progressive scan. I think I have only seen them on higher end Sony models. I would be really surprised if Onida has progressive scan on any of their CRT models. (Your experience seems to be consistent with this).

My TV does have component inputs and i do know that as it has those green/blue/red jacks + the manual said so that it supports 480p, so get me now?
