well the ps3 that im selling in the sale section also has the same model number cech 2508b it was having base firmware 3.60

so a proof of firmware is needed.

All PS3 systems will be checked for 3.50/3.55 firmware before shipping. The dealer will open and check the firmware if taking from me since I have purchased nearly 6 PS3 from him.
If there are any direct customers, he is only going to give it box pack without checking. Also if you guys want, I can try and negotiate with him further if anyone is seriously interested.

I purchased 6PS3 for 24K (good deal in my opinion). The reason he did not give discounts was that I purchased one PS3 at a time. If I purchase several PS3 at a time I can surely strike a deal.

Dealer's name is Yasin. Cell No: 9270817888.

Selling the PS3 at a premium is offically not allowed by Sony. Therefore anonymity of the dealer.

Pretty obvious the dealer is making a good sum here because he knows he's selling the moddable console. Maybe the OP also has his share?

What BS is that? I know a lot of guys who got themselves the PS3 because it was a cheap blu-ray player more than anything else. More so because during the thanksgiving last year, it came to as low as 200$ a pop. And they got the console back in India.

Blu-ray movies are dead cheap in the Amazon and can be shipped to India WITHOUT customs charging a paisa. The older classics retail for as low as 4~5$. Not to mention, folks residing in the US have access to plenty of retail marts that retail second hand discs for as low as 2~3$.

#gannu now i dont think u can get away with customs...almost 99% u will have to pay customs, atleast me and my frnds have been paying customs since last 4 months :(....before that it was all good!

I would really call someone like that a fool who uses a console to watch movies the only thing which it helps is in decreasing the life of console.

Your logic from the previous post was flawed. It is up to the user to decide what he wishes to do with the console. Be it playing, watching movies or catching dust in the shelf.
