PS3 available in chennai!!

i was at this shop which sells Console/PC games in annanagar, chennai..
asked him if he had any imported XBOXs..
found out that he not only did he have modded XBOXs(23k for the core) but even PS3 on sale..he said he could get one for 42k(one with the 20GB) odd!!
i was kinda surprised, both at the availability and the price...seemed pretty reasonable given the kind of madrush we've seen for the PS3...
i'm sure places like ritchie street and burma bazaar might offer them for a few thousand less..
he said he was getting them from thailand..

although, as i type, it makes me wonder if the consoles could be fake/cheap chinese replicas!!
 
Though I see no reason for anyone to buy it now at that price. When Ps3 launches in Europe and is available in plenty, the 60GB version is supposed to sell at 35-40K.
 
from a lot of angles, it makes more sense to buy a XBOX at half that price...and hold on to it for a year or so..
PS3 will take time to develop..
 
I agree. X360 is getting full-fledged games like Gears Of War, a stage which will take Ps3 at least a year to reach.

And we can expect a price cut by then too.
 
One of my friends told me, that hes getting the PS3 (20GB) for 36k.

He already has an Modded X360. So.. Lol..
 
umm Modded 360's which dont work with XBLive......killing half the functionality of the Xb360...if hes talking about the drive firmware allowing him to play isos then wish him luck with the heat generated !!

Whatever be the case.........Im saving up for the PS3.......I AM patiently WAITING FOR MGS4 .............(blinks blinks blinks)...(curses sony for ****ing the scene up)...(blinks again)..
